I am hoping to produce images similar to these two photos, however I will be making mine more professional and i will also have the pizza so that it looks like it is 'eating' other ingredients.
I think these images are quite effective but they are also quite plain and boring, I think they are effective because it is obvious what they are advertising and you can also tell that the pizzas are meant to be pac-man by just looking at them.
I don't think the set up of both the images is very good because it looks quite unprofessional which is understandable because these images were not actually used for any advertising, I found them on pinterest and they were what I wanted to do so I included them in my research.
The lighting in the second image isn't effective as it seems very over-exposed on the silver tray by the 'mouth' of the pizza, I think this is because they have either used the flash on the camera or they have used normal lights which have just been focused more on one point then equally set up for light over all the image. The lighting on the first image isn't as bad but the surface the pizza is on is very light so it fades with the bright lights, the lights focused on the knife and fork also make them slightly over-exposed and therefore make it 'hard' to look at as they are bright from the lights and may hurt peoples eyes if they are quite sensitive to bright lights.

I think this image is the best out of the three I have chosen to use in my research, this is because it clearly shows what I want to create with my image, although it is a sandwich instead of a pizza it is the only photo I could find using a food item that was what I wanted to produce.
Overall the lighting on this image is good, the little hearts of food aren't over or under exposed however it is obvious that they are only lit from one side, this can be seen in the shadows and also they are lighter on one side than the other. The lighting on the actual sandwich however is not as good, it can be seen obviously that the main source of light is coming from the left side and this side of the sandwich blends in with the background as it is over-exposed. Even though there is a lot of shadow in this image I think it makes it more effective because the shadow of the pac-man is in just the right position to make it look like it is also 'eating' the hearts.
I think this would make a good advertisement because it is nice to look at and it is also colourful so it attracts more attention that it would if it was plain.
